Upcoming Bike Parade on July 8th

Kids bicycling with flags

For Kids Night on Wednesday, July 8th we're hosting a bike parade around the park.

We'll have supplies to decorate bikes (scooters, wagons, or strollers) starting at 6 pm to get them looking good for the parade. There will be a short bicycle safety lesson by a Philadelphia Police Officer at 6:45 pm and then we'll start the big parade at 7 pm

Come decorate and spin your wheels in the park!

About the Friends of Jefferson Square Park

The Friends foster a community awareness of the park, its history and its treasures. The Friends encourage positive use of the park and seek to make the park a common ground for the diverse community that surrounds it.

We host band concerts, outdoor movies, flea markets and volunteer cleanups. Additionally, we've provided new benches and wastebaskets, the restoration of water service to the park, the installation of 10 new trees, the removal of dead trees, landscaping, and the installation of cast iron urns on the corner entrance pillars. Past and current initiatives we've participated in with other local groups to improve the park include the Philadelphia Parks Revitalization Project and Philadelphia Green
